In regards to the posing, Ale is no Coco, but c'mon some responsibility has to be placed on the editor that chose the shot because I'm not going to believe that was the best shot that she could deliver.
I agree on that and as I said she's very beautiful and sexy and it's cool for her to try to brand out in different areas but I'm just not a fan of her tryin' Vogue, especially when it's that caliber: I mean, we all agree that some Vogue editions are way better than others = nobody would doubt the power of Vogue Italia and Vogue Taiwan for example

lol Not every VS girl used to be a high fashion model before and high fashion means: high fashion covers (italian and french vogue covers at least), high end campaigns for Gucci or Chanel or Dior etc, + constant Vogue, W, Harper's Bazaar editorials every month and in various editions, having worked with Meisel, Demarchelier, Testino etc. prior to then move to commercial and VS stuff and I don't think Alessandra did all of that whatsoever so for her to try, now, to appear in Vogue Nippon is just a big coup in her modeling career and we know that, it will generate money but at the core is she a sasha-natasha-raquel-coco-lily-freja high fashion girl?????? nope is she a good TOP model working commercialy and high fashion jobs = yes that's all I can say but obviously we have different opinions and I respect that.

Always the same argument over and over.

I like Alessandra and I think she can be impressive in print, even more so than plenty of "high fashion models" (see here). I just despise it when Anna gets her hands on her and styles her like a glitzy luxury chick. It's plain stale and unflattering to Alessandra's capabilities of putting out great stuff.

yet & still she's been appearing in vogue the past few months. i think too many people in our modern fashion age restrict models. alessandra is showcasing versatility going from commercial to high end work. i applaud her. fashion is about being multi-dimensional. it's about morphing into multiple looks & concepts.

i like the spread, but i agree with what you're saying. i think high fashion is very different from commercial in that models become transformed (ie. bleached brow, matted hair..etc.) but anna's style signature is that over the top type of glamour. very valid point, people are quick to point the finger at the models & you present a valid point in looking at who else was instrumental in the actual spread. great opinion.

I actually love Ales editorial work, I think she is just as good in high fashion as she is at VS, that shot of her in the Pucci dress and blue lipstick is kinda amazing.

I really like the variety in Eniko's editorial, nice to see something a little different from Faena too.
