I didn't notice it before because I was too preoccupied with the fact that I&V finally made a decent VN cover but Kate does indeed look like Debby Harry on this cover.

That is such a bad cover; there's absolutely no expression there and Kate's face just isn't captivating enough anymore to deal with such a close up. The make up is such a poor Debbie Harry imitation too

The description sounded good, but I don't like the result. There is too much make up and way too much text on the cover (as usual for Vogue Nippon). I would give this cover 6/10

I don't love the cover. The heavy make up makes Kate look way older than she actually is. I do like the Seventies feel to the styling though. Kate looks like a Studio 54 disco queen. The only thing is, this doesn't look like Vogue Nippon. It looks more like U.K. Vogue. And it sort of reminds me of one of Kate's past Vogue U.K. covers. But it is nice to see her finally on a Vogue cover this year! I wonder if she'll be on more (VP, Vogue U.K.) later in the year?

^she'll probably get a Vogue UK cover, since she always gets at least one per year... and maybe a VP cover too, i certainly wouldn't mind...
i'm secretly happy that she doesn't have a 70s inspired ed in this issue though, otherwise i'd have to buy it and it's almost impossible to find Vogue Nippon here...

i agree...and why the ghetto girl earring? She looks like she just came from Ladies' Night and was snapped for the cover. but still, i think it's decent because it's a little different for VN to do an upclose cover like this and Kate does look alright.

The cover's not that great. I undertand that they're going for that Debbie Harry look, but I feel like the make-up's too heavy. It's just not a very captivating cover in general.
