I love Scarlett! I loved her in Vicky Cristina Barcelona! The cover's okay but I like the other cover more where she was wearing a gold dress (Prada?). I also like the fonts on the cover.

Ymre's ed is quite weird. Eniko is so sexy!

Perhaps I'm alone on this but I feel as though Ymre is a stunningly beautiful girl (Uma Thurman clone ) and that these pictures do nothing to highlight her beauty. I think this theme could have been better executed had they used color and an outdoors location. It could have been nice ot see the richness of the clothing in color.

Of course we are all judging based on very small images. Maybe it's better in HQ / print.

Conde Nast pays $150 a day if you are a new model, after 1 year it goes up to $250. That means if you are Gisele and work for American Vogue 2 days in a row, you would make $500.

Many editorials pay nothing.

ASF, I don't know you so I'm not sure if you are joking but I will say again that this is the rate. I was an agent for 10 years and I still talk to all the agents. In fact I just called one of them up to see if the rates had changed a lot. When I was an agent, 10 years ago, the new girls got $135 a day, now they get $150 per day.. so it's increased slightly.

What's so hard to understand? Girls don't do editorial for money! Getting editorials and covers of French Vogue for example, drives up your rate for everything else and gets you noticed by the huge money clients like Lancome and Estee Lauder. Simple. Editorials and covers are the path towards the real money.

well condé nast is well aware of its influence on the models,
I do think models dont work for the money but editorials do them much exposure
and open doors to lucrative jobs like campaigns

Depends on the show. Some shows pay in clothes, some pay in cash and others you get nothing but the added exposure and prestige that comes with being able to say that you were in that show.

You can usually tell the money shows though, girls aren't lining up to walk BCBG because they just love the clothes

But to continue with Betty's point, the real money is in catalogs, campaigns, cosmetics contracts and any kind of long term deal. Editorials are the pretty path towards the serious cash.

It is true, i know its quite shocking when you think of the money the Vogue has, but even Wintour confirmed this in her interview once, she said the fact they are in Vogue is a big payment enough for any model, because it does wonders for their career, so Betty is totally spot on.
