Oh my, at least my subscription is going to end soon.
Why put a naked sex kitten on the calendar of a woman's fashion magazine?

^^Carine Roitfeld is not really into feminism ... at all ! i tend to think she likes to see women as being toys for men ... i think she doesn't care ...
oh wait i just understood your point ..... sorry that was not that kind of things at all ...
well, i don't know ... maybe for the women to offer them to their husband, boyfriend, brother etc. but wait. what do you want ?! Vogue Paris' calendar have always been sexy ... I&V, the one with Karen Elson japanese thingy (by the way saw a movie yesterday on Arte about this japanese thing ... the movie was really odd !)

liberty : yes that's Carine. I don't know if it's the real shooting or just a pre-shooting tests ... because if Mario and Carine work hands in pocket ... well i'm pretty disappointed ...............

though i might add, i think there are some reasons why they've chosen this shot for the cover ... you'll understand once you see the editorials featuring Stéphanie ....
but seriously, though her name/face WILL sell (at least in France ....), i really don't think her face would sell as it is now ... she really does look tired and i know she's the kind of "natural" woman = no esthetic surgery on her face, for sure ....
but that wouldn't sell on a Vogue cover ...

so, imo, that shot is the BEST shot they could have choose for this cover :
a - it hides her wrinkles etc. tired face
b - shows the fragile side of Stéphanie
Well that all does make sense then (sort of like when they shot Sofia in that pose hiding her nose, i thought it was well done there), and if she is a good seller in France i see why they went with her, i am just not that interested, so i am not sure if i should get the issue, i guess just have to see more to make up my mind.

But the calendar as expected does nothing for me, Richardson rarely does.

Well, it's just not my taste I guess. I don't know whether it was always sexy like that, I have only started reading VP this year. I just don't know what I should do with this calendar when it arrives. I do not have a particular interest in naked women, you know? That's why I buy fashion magazines and not the Playboy.

I've never really got Eniko, but I love that shot of her for the calendar, and the cover of VP is just such a contrast to the calendar. Best of both worlds, really.

I can't wait to pick this up when I'm in Paris. Thank you for the scans Diorette.

well you know i cannot talk for Carine ... she is not my mother, nor I am her asst. or husband .... but this is a calendar, not a fashion magazine ... so i guess you have to take it as a calendar ... and if you don't want it, but plan to buy the issue, well give it to a boy (who is interested into naked women ... )
then Carine has this thing about sex, sexy, erotism etc. I mean she invented the porno-chic with Testino for Tom Ford ....... so she basically loves sexy woman .... and that doesn't make her a lesbian, you know ... i mean i can enjoy the beauty of a naked woman body but that doesn't make me straight pour autant ...
