the beauty ed is kind of nice, i really like the last shot... i wish there were more pictures of her with tisci though, and obviously more pictures of her in the marc jacobs article. they dressed her in louis vuitton (nothing of his own collection? it was so good, what a shame) and used one single shot? you can barely see the clothes in that picture... at least it looks good...
and nothing really exciting in steven klein's ed, by the way. it looks too much like they tried hard to make something risqué...

The Klein editorial is definitly the best of the issue.

I'm just impressed by the bad arrangement of the issue.. it's too calculated, they attempted to cover all sides of Lara and every single one of them comes as weak, it's too much about them and what they should do with Lara instead of letting her do her thing and focus on creativity themselves.. Lindbergh and Goldin are definitely standouts but still quickly forgettable, especially when Lara for i-D or Numero is relatively recent in our minds and were a real tribute to her and everything she exudes. Meisel as always is a hit or miss for me and this looks like one major disaster, his story has got to be my least favorite of the whole thing, it's actually one of the most grotesque stories I've seen in a while.. the previous one was also by himself if I recall correctly.. I'm definitely liking the fact that he's going through a 60s/early 70s moment but the way he captures it is unbelievably vulgar.. funny how the original image still manages to provoke or seduce viewers while Meisel's tribute only looks like a justifying filler of an otherwise pretentiously morbid story.

It's a shame that those 2 new shots are outtakes, since they are probably the best in the bunch.

The spread actually might stir a bit of controversy. Someone mentioned that it is extremely similar to a real story of a caged boy who was eaten by their family. I refused to believe it at first but the similarities are quite unmistakable.
