I seriously don't get this. I have nothing against Paris Hilton, she's very indifferent to me, but Vogue cover? Vogue is supposed to be snob (fashion wise) and the only serious fashion magazine today (with some exceptions). Paris Hilton is anything but stylish and couture-like, not even graceful. I don't care who sells, and i think that Vogue readers are people who care about fashion (in a deep sense), who aren't attracted by a Vogue Cover "graced" from someone not-so-fashion/couture-material. Buying loads of clothes doesn't make you fashion expert or stylish. And confusing chic with porn-chic is not my idea of a cover (and i don't consider Ms Hilton porn chic, she's anything but chic, not even porn-chic). I'm just so disappointed, especially since Vogue Paris is my favorite Vogue...

I was thinking : don't you think paris & nicole are planning to shoot the simple life in fashion european cities? (Milan and Paris - why not some others like UK)

I think most of you don't know that Vanessa Paradis was very controversial years back in the early 90s.
I don't know when this cover was shoot but honestly when she filmed Noces Blanches, V. Paradis was really in the middle of sthg i.e : people hated her, some loved her. but most of french hated her at the time (i know some of you loves her.)

It wasn't when she started out . "Vanessa au paradis Chanel" is written on it.
It was about her Coco chanel campaign. People liked her by then.
Anyway she never stooped as low as Paris Hilton in people's mind . People didn't like her like because she started out as a young pop tart a la Britney but she gained respect later on.

def. not of course she was a popstar with Joe le Taxi etc. but I'm sorry to remind you the story of "Noce Blanche" when everyone was screaming "au scandal" because in the movie she was a teen who makes loves and is in love with her (very aged) professor!
when Vanessa started working for chanel (around 1991-92) Vanessa was also the new muse of Gainsbourg...

anyway this is not the subject.
tons of teen stars did Vogue Paris (Sylvie Vartan did it!!) so why not Paris Hilton...we are all surprised. so what?

we have to wait. the cover looks minimalist.

(i kind of agree. i said "kind of".) but it was to stop the subject......
we need to stop and talk about it when we'll have it in hands!
isn't it the first time you see 11pages of talks just by seeing a cover?

The cover is horrible!! What is with the white trash cut-off tank top with her breasts hanging out. There is not an once of elegance in this shot. I really hope there is more to this issue.
