adore the cover! they haven't over sexualised Lara as she usually is, it shows her looking softer rather than the 'i've just had sex' look.

Sasha looks terrible and I hate her editorial. On the flip side, I love Lara and her editorial. This is like Freaky Friday.

I've just noticed the awful text that has been used to title Sasha's editorial. But because it's Vogue Paris I will let it drop.

Lara looks gorgeous, I love the cover.
I like it when models looks different than their usual appearance coz it just proves that they're not one-dimensional.
I MUST have this issue!

(tfs'ers from the Philippines, where could I get this? help.. )

I was looking forward to seeing Jansson's ed especially being with Anna but it looks dull to me. There's nothing particularly exciting about this issue IMO...a continuing trend for this year

The cover is really beautiful, but that's because Lara looks NOTHING like herself. I thought it was Toni Garn or that British model who did Burberry a couple seasons ago (her name escapes me).

I dont think so either, it seemed last month that some of the models were dressed as iconic women, Raquel as C.Love perhaps?

I want this issue just because I really like the cover, the Tao photos are gorgeous, and I bit my tongue-I actually like Natasha's ed, I wait for Selezneva's in earnest, I just wish VP would use some different models each month.

the lara story is kind of good.
i like the styling especially ...
natasha's story is boring as hell ...
raquel is good, sasha, too !

not a very impressive issue ... but some very nice surprises (Vogue US' Grace article, itw with Bianca Jagger, an article abt Brussels, Altuzarra, J+, make-up artist Tyen with 1p. article ... the Tina Chow access. edit is really nice, too) ...

but i thought there was supposed to be their choice for the Vogue Fashion Night ...
and there's nothing ... so i'm kind of disappointed ...

i'm waiting for more from VP .... especially for a sept. issue ... and Lara in brunette is not enough for me ... sorry !

Tao looks so beautiful. I love that Lara looks demure, almost shy, so tame from what she normally looks like. Natasha's editorial is lovely, but it kind of fall stale for me. Anna J will be phenomenal (as if she could be anything else), but...I don't know. I'm underwhelmed.

YESSSSS! Though I was terribly disappointed by the cover, the contents have totally made up for it! What a great idea to do sort of a fashion icon issue! I really love it that they didn't go for the obvious icons, though. This is more of an homage to cult icons. And it is excellent how the spreads are organized by era. "Gloria" is focused on the grand Hollywood icons of the Thirties and Forties; Natasha's edit is obviously an homage to the Sixties, more specifically Veruschka- the African brush brings to mind that infamous photo of her in the Yves Saint Laurent Saharienne mini-dress holding a musket over her shoulders. Also, Sasha's edit, though it is meant to be inspired by Liza Minelli, has a very Sixties, Edie Sedgwick vibe to it. Sasha PERFECTLY embodies that tragic joie de vivre that Edie so memorably emitted. "Diane K." is very Annie Hall, but also brings to mind Lauren Hutton as well, both Seventies landmarks. And Tao Okamoto as Tina Chow, the ultimate Eighties clotheshorse! The portrayal is uncanny! GENIUS!

And some of the editorials don't necessarily tackle SPECIFIC icons, the models can be any of a handful of women. For example, Sasha is meant to be Liza, but from the styling, she also looks VERY Edie Sedgwick-esque. Also, Nata

oh ...
in case it hasn't been said ...
though i guess it was ...

Lara plays Gloria Vanderbilt
Sasha plays Liza Minelli
Natasha plays Bardot (but i cannot see the ressemblance with her ...........)
Maria plays Diane Keaton
Raquel plays Blondie
the other influences are Tina Chow, Amanda Lear ....
