I think that's positive for Lara. She's not just a blond girl who stayed in the role of BB for years...
I really like the idea that Carine changed Lara's image to a sensitive, almost shy girl. It was already time for changing...
The cover is showcasing that Lara can play more roles than the sexy Bardotesque sex kitten or party girl with an edge. She can also be quite elegant. So I think this is a success for her and broadens her appeal...
Strange feelings. I think I'm going to buy it, maybe only for Laura's editorial. As HeatherAnne said in her thread, she's one of the best editorial model right now and each piece is worth a look, even just the four pages of En Vogue.
The rest of the issue leaves me quite cold. Sasha's editorial looks decent, I love the combination of her smile and that black wig, Natasha Poly is pure Vogue Paris but doesn't work for me and I would never have thought of Raquel for this role. Not the same vibe. Visually it's not that bad, though. Tao could be a good surprise to me, she's been doing well nonstop now and I guess she'll reach the target once again. Maybe Constance too.
In the end it's a bit of an idiomatic/pleonastic VP issue - VP lovers will call it iconic maybe and it's most likely a must buy for them. Some others will think 4 issues per year would be enough. I personally love VP's overall aesthetic, mood etc. but would have expected some more daring models choices and more innovative themes for a September issue.

i'm a VP lover ... and I can tell you this is pretty bad ...
they should seriously get rid off of Emmanuelle Alt ....
seriously her styling efforts is hardly reaching the 2nd floor those days ....
and it's kind of tiring - and sad ! imo she spends too much time on Balmain and Marant (and perhaps more) than on her editorial works ...
and her style is soooooo everywhere those days, that it's getting really really boring as hell.
maybe she just needs to take a moment off and comes back later ...
go on vacation Emmanuelle, please ... we need some air !
I hope if i see all of editorials i'll like this issue.so far this issue looks very disappointing for me
And i hope Vogue Italia's september issue will be good.I wouldn't want to disappoint in vogue italia......
