I'm glad Marion finally got the cover, even though I'm not half as interested in her now as I was when La Vie en Rose came out. The cover shot kind of looks like an old beauty ad or something. I'm only really excited about Rive Gauche et Libre and possibly the Bruce Weber ed just because of the Crazy Horse Dancers. Sick to death of Freja, Natasha and Constance in VP.
I wasn't expecting to see such a beautiful shot, she looks like some long-forgotten silent-screen actress who's returned as a ghost.
You seriously have the best interpretations of images.
The content sounds typically unimpressive but they've really outdone themselves with this cover.. even if the makeup might scream the opposite, I think it's probably the first picture I've seen of Marion that just captures and exposes her allure on the big screen so explicitly. Beautiful cover.
Should be Daphne Groenveld, Dafne Cejas, Lea T., Malgosia and Kylie Bax. I believe.
Quite an interesting cast and an intriguing mix. My interest in Kylie's work has grown a lot again over the last few months and I'm still waiting for the editorial that would show Dafne as strong as she is on her natural pictures (polas, backstage or whatever).
The cover quite 'caught' me too. The Paris theme could have led to some boring clichés and VP avoided that trap for the cover, pretty good sign I'd say. tigerrouge's words couldn't describe it in a better way and it's been a really long while since last time I saw Marion looking so striking.
Marion reminds me of a young Catherine Deneuve- as beautiful as she is talented, and quintessentially French. I have high hopes for this issue!
