Thank you for this thread. Did not even remember this. I think have most of this early covers back at home. Nowdays i do not even bother, Vogue Portugal is for 98% just a translation of Vogue UK with a mixture of images from everyone. What i find weird is that it didn't use to be like that, they even gave some of the early covers to portuguese public figures, they were producing original content, i wonder what happened.

If you take a look, until 2006 the only reprints they had were the supermodel covers that they didnt have the money to book but other than that all of the covers were original and honestly I love big part of them because they are sexy but have a lot of class and that quite defined the magazine.
From 2006 they started with reprints (actualy good ones) and they went down and down and down. In the end of 2011 I was really exited cause they were producing some great original covers but than 2012 came and until now they only have one original.
Its quite sad when you look at all of them and you see that in the beggining they were quite good.

Polevshchikova, thanks for lovely cover round-up!

some of the earlier 2002 covers were quite original and 'cutting-edge.' even their choice of reprints are unexpected and not half bad. Lindsay's 2009 cover though is one of my favorite VOGUE covers period. VOGUE Portugal seems to have a sense of whimsey and humor which i appreciate, as seen in covers # 98, 61.
