Karlie's edit is not great, IMO. She has about 3 expressions throughout the whole of it - I genuinely thought at one point they had printed the same double page twice, she looked so similar.

Does anybody want me to scan the "new england" story thing. Its (yet another) of those awful photo stories Vogue UK seems to do at least once a year of"cool" teens of the moment (Georgina Jagger, Juno Temple - Attonement - Hannah Murray, Nicholas Hoult -Cassie and Tony from Skins - other random rich people's children who I've never heard of before). Whilst I don't find it particularly enjoyable, someone else may

tigerrouge - I totally agree with you on the articles. Vogue UK is deteriorating rapidly, they need a new editor in chief rapidly to give it a good shake up and reinvention

Fairly impressed with the cover although after the amazing year that Jourdan has had I think she should have got the cover all by herself. I realise they are showing a representation of upcoming Brit models but seriously including Rosie on the basis of the recent Burberry campaign and Eden is hardly what you would call 'up and coming'.......one Vogue Italia ed with Meisel and a couple of minor campaigns.
Jourdan has had other major covers, been all over at this runway season.....and last for that matter, and is in a totally different league from the other 2 girls.
On the other hand gotta be happy they are consistently using models for their covers at Vogue UK
Thanks for all you're scans Skywire Much appreciated.

is daisy lowe featured in this? because if so i would like to see it.

it's shame jourdan isn't featured inside, that would have guaranteed me buying this. i also wish it was only jourdan and rosie on the cover.

Don't bash Eden, she's British. Jourdan definitely should be alone on a cover but I think it's great for Eden and she looks the best here. She's a beautiful underrated girl and deserves ore recognition. Rosie looks great too only Jourdan is the one I don't like her and she's already so yesterday to me. Here comes Eden!

Oh and not to forget that techniucally Eden's name should be first in the title but that's probably far interpreted.

I totally agree. It's often people writing about their friends and family who come from the same group as themselves. Comes across as very narcissistic.

The cover looks like a watered down version of VOGUE Paris November 2005 by Testino. This one is actually pleasing to the eye and well photographed + photoshopped.

I collect British Vogue (it is the only fashion magazine on the market I like), but I am seriously reconsidering getting this one. Of course when I see it in shops and am able to browse it myself will be what makes my final decision, but what I am seeing here is not good, not good at all!

First of all, the cover. I hate pink like that and find group shots generally bad choices for covers. As for those three models, I would have just taken Rosie and put her on the cover. The cover is very unappealing, fit for Glamour magazine in my opinion!

The contents don't seem that interesting either. The editorials look bland and boring.

However, there have been two very good issues of British Vogue before this. I don't think Alexandra Shulman is that untalented - I prefer her over the worshipped Carine Roitfeld. Perhaps she's a bit stuck-in-a-rut, but she is not bad.

**

People, don't bash British Vogue for presumably "always including articles of rich kids", haven't we seen enough of that in Paris Vogue too?

In conclusion: this issue seems very un-British Vogue. It doesn't seem to meet Vogue standards at all. However, I am not judging for sure before I have seen it myself.

Thank you everyone for scans

it's always nice to see guinevere, she looks great, but god who styled that ed??? i'm falling asleep here. even terry's ed is boring. karlie definitely doesn't convince me as a model.

This cover had a lot of potential.
They all look soo blah.

I think it should have been Jourdan all alone! And the red banner looks HORRIBLE!

I just saw this on eBay and seriously I would LOVE the cover without that stupid banner! It's discusting, really horrible.
I'm still going to get it though, to add to my collection of VOGUE UK's

It's not rich kids - it's the much older circle of fashion friends who get called upon to be the content of the articles, and anyone outside thar circle that they choose to feature doesn't get the same all-mates-together treatment - remember the superior tone of the article with Victoria Beckham, as if they could afford to forget she's had more success and exposure than many of the young women who appear in its pages.

There ARE plenty of perfectly interesting articles about fashion and business by people writing about the industries they work in. They're great, educational, entertaining. But when Vogue attempts some sort of lifestyle article, suddenly it's 'read about my mates':

In the article about women converting to Islam, Jemima Khan interviews... a former MTV presenter who she's known since the late 80's; a child actor who's now a multiple-degree Cambridge/Oxford graduate; and a magazine editor with a model mother who set up an agency that represented Naomi Campbell and Catherine Bailey.

Well, yes, that article tells me all about the difficulties faced by most women considering converting to a religion that's both familiar and foreign to them (rather than a lifestyle choice that's slightly harder than all the others open to them).

If the aim is to write articles for 'like-minded people of the same social circle', then Vogue should create a blog and set it to 'friends-only', don't publish them in a magazine that they want lots of people to buy.

In a world where UK Bazaar and Elle have revamped themselves successfully, UK Vogue seems more of an anachronism with every month that passes.

Rosie looks flawless, Eden looks great too.

Now I'm all for Jourdan mania and all, but this girl is A TERRIBLE COVER SUBJECT. She always looks bad, ALWAYS! She deserves a cover of her own, but she'd only mess it up anway, she only looks good on the runway. As far as the red banner goes, it's looks very tacky and cheap.
