Over the past few months W has struggled to prove itself after a widely watched (and critiqued) reinvention and I really feel that these past two or three issues have been phenomenal in terms of content. The way they present celebrities sets the bar for other publications; how many generic shots of actresses smiling can we possibly see - or worse yet, uncomfortable editorials where actors attempt to be models. That is really the old way of doing things, I like that W and their team of photographers encourage actors to act in their portraits. There is a bit of performance in all the covers; this is a beautiful and atmospheric shoot - is the fencing theme somewhat unexpected, yes of course, but it works and its a kind of performance.
On a purely shallow note, Michael Fassbender is about as physically attractive as a man can be, if I had any kind of heart it would be beating faster just by looking at these pictures.

^ thats why I love W. The way they photograph their celebs and give them a character unlike Vogue who just puts them in pretty dresses and takes pretty pictures. W actually makes celebrities look like models
