why use Joan if they make her look like Tyra Banks... they should have used Tyra instead... or make Joan, who I personally prefer, look like herself...

Joan looks SPECTACULAR! Meisel and Joan are 2 for 2 when it comes to covers - he has not created this kind of magic with a model in a long time. I don't want them to overdo it, but if he and Joan can create this kind of magic then they need to work together more often. Actually if the other model is Karlie, Meisel has done good work with her as well and I am getting excited about what's to come... please don't disappoint me!

I feel like I'm looking at a completely different cover than everyone else because I neither see the resemblance to Tyra nor do I see magic in this nor does she she look drag to me.

Looks nice from what I can see, but I'm not wowed yet. But it's hard to tell from this instagram pic what the actual colors will look like anyway (this instagram everything trend needs to stop), so hopefully this will be more striking in HQ. Looking forward to seeing Karlie's cover

While i am delighted to see Joan got the cover, and that Meisel shot it, how exactly can we say anything about the cover from that image? I thought we shouldn't start the threads without the full cover image, or a snap.

I am looking forward to see it in good quality in full, and all others.

Would probably be hard to stop that since a lot of people would be itching to post it and mods would have the annoying job of deleting all the posts. This image isn't too bad, we can see a good amount of it. Yes the colours are off because it's silly instagram but unforuntately a lot of people use that to post previews these days haha.

I'm thrilled that Joan got a cover, she's one of those models who's work I always notice. However, it's too difficult for me to judge this cover yet because I need to see a HQ before making my mind up. But even if it's terrible (which I don't think it will be) the fact that Joan got on the cover of a major magazine is brilliant!

They are not trying to turn Joan into anything especially Tyra Banks. Tyra never made it to the heights Joan has in HF. If i'm not mistaken, Tyra's HF campaign resume consists of Tommy Hilfiger, Ralph Lauren, Dolce &Gabbana, YSL, and Cavalli. Joans' is much better!

^Thats not what they meant by that. They meant that Joan strongly resembles Tyra on the cover. I'm more excited for Karlie's cover but I hope its just these two. It makes their achievement more exclusive imo.
