This issue is definitely a must buy. I just got it in the mail today and McDean's ed is wonderful. So gorgeous in print and both Anna J and Edita totally deliver. The mood of the whole thing is hauntingly beautiful. Sorry I can't scan as I don't have a scanner, but I'm sure it will be up soon.

I liked his pictorials better during the fight club phase as well...they were more gritty and, yes, raunchy. It made him more interesting and was a cool re-invention for a guy with a serious identity problem, IMO. I also thought the work with Angelina and Steven Klein for the 60's theme shoot pre-Mad Men was spectacular. This and the previous cover with Angelina seem self idulgent, movie stars considering themselves artists always seemed like another ego stroke to me.

I love Anna's ed
I just think that the picture that she is wearing Alexander McQueen is a bit scary ![]()

Thanks mikel, McDean delivered with this editorial, he always kills it in W (I wish he could do better stuff in US Vogue). Looks like another mag I will be picking up a month from now

Brad Pitt, I've always disliked him... despite his partnership with Angelina Jolie, whom I like... In defiance of the media circus, I do see them as individuals with separate names... not the Brangelina trademark. Well, now we know that Brad Pitt is a human being with real, separate interests... and real pores (thanks to the digital manipulation of Chuck Close). Not just Angelina Jolie's manmaid who occasionally does photoshoots with her, or sometimes of her, but rarely without her (unless for a different sort of magazine; W last had a solo male cover with Tom Cruise many, many years ago... I think).
