I'm just really glad that there's a model on the cover... even if it a model-celebrity like gisele (who i still like after all these years.. for some reason she remains a favorite of mine)
Naomi's cover last month was good (though like gisele she is a model-celebrity)

I had no idea who was on the cover until today when I got my copy in the mail..
which was weird because while driving home from work i was thinking about how W hadn't had a model on the cover for a while...
I thought of Daria's cover where she was wearing purple makeup and a red dress (which I thought was a great cover) and also was thinking about how gisele has been on so many of their covers over the years.

this cover reminds me of a combination of gisele and that daria cover..
though i'm not loving the cover image to be honest..
gisele looks a bit harsh and there is just too much going on with her outfit..

it's good to see a model on the cover, but i'm glad that even when W does celebrities they do it different from everyone else..
they made ugly betty look sexy, gave ellen a different look..
one of my favorites was a selma blair cover from a few years ago that was an extreme closeup of her face with very mod makeup.. she looked fantastic

anyway.. enough W cover reminiscences from me..
going to flip through the magazine and check out what's inside
