I can't believe Scarlett... she looks quite awful
Natalie looks great in all the shots.

The styling is such a provocation, I think...
I actually like the use of the dog...
Further promotes the lolita-theme...

Natalie photographs so incredibly well...
IRL she is adorable, imo...
But in photos she is so elegant, powerful, and alluring...

I am wondering if Scarlett's poses are intentional...?
She never photographs amazingly well, but never this bad, either...

i LOVE this cover. the make-up, the clothes, so edgy!
i think this is the best celebrity cover i've seen. these girls, besides angelina jolie are the only ones i'd want to see on the cover of a fashion mag.

maybe the placement of the chihuahua in there is a mockery to paris and nicole?

Scarlett looks like a Swiss milk maid next to Natalie in the cover shot...

This'd have been a good cover if it was just Natalie..I appreciate them trying to go in a new direction with Scarlett's makeup, but with that expression the lipstick really doesn't suit her. Maybe if they'd covered up the cleavage and lost the rat-sized dog, it might have worked..

I think you're really harsch with Scarlett and this MiuMiu fits her perfectly, imo....
I hope Steven shooted her in foot (how do we say "en pieds"???) Because I'm sure she looks even better than Natalie wearing this.... sexy mama....

Her face is not easy (esp. in this angle - speaking of the cover). and with this strict hairstyle and make-up and severe face she's doing, i understand it's not easy.... But i think it's still look good with her....and maybe interesting.

And I think putting Scarlett with this severe face and Natalie with this smiling/angel face is not innocent....
Natalie is a lot easier.... and there with some people loving some "strange" models, i'm surprised you cannot bear this Scarlett's look.....
some models give worst expression sometimes and you guys are applauding....
I think S.Klein asked her for this kind of face.... they are def. not the ones choosing their pose or expression....
Scarlett, to me, looks like a robot becoming human and improving her severe style.

the solo portrait with her dog on the table is the funniest.... though Scarlett there looks like a total dull...... it's like there's nothing in her mind and she's totaly absent....not even surprised. she's simply not there.
true for the solo portrait, Natalie is making it better.....

and keep in mind it's easier to look bad than good....
esp. when you're that hot.....
(i'm not really objective. i like Natalie but prefer Scarlett.....)

I think if they had been asked to look happy or overtly sexual, then Scarlett would have outshone Natalie - but when it comes to unsmiling slickness, no-one can beat Natalie, because of that impeccable bone structure. It's just unfortunate for Scarlett that in this type of scenario, she's second best in a style of posing that suits Natalie.

Though I really don't get the storyline of the cover shot, even if they are 'dressed up' to look like Paris and Nicole. I can't see the ever-serious Natalie suddenly deciding to do a comic turn and start posing as a comedy pastiche of Paris Hilton. It just doesn't fit, and because of that, the image doesn't work.

I think you're right about Natalie's bone structure giving her the edge, tigerrouge- Scarlett's chief assets are her lips, which unfourtunately have been made a mess of in this photograph (or maybe it's just the way she's pursed her mouth). She's good at projecting an air of maturity without the in-your-face aspect onscreen, but off it her pics tend to play up completely different things.
Re: the Paris-and-Nicole thing: it doesn't work. Unless they're going for irony in making two of the most beautiful, talented actresses of this generation pose like a pair of celebutante airheads whose chief achievements are a)having famous parents b)making idiots of themselves for reality TV (that is, given that I'm being polite and not counting their less tasteful 'extracurricular' activities).

you aren't the only one. Scarlett gets so much unnecessary hate on internet forums. I don't really understand it.
