This is typical Michael Thompson, like W's last Nov. cover with Jennifer Garner.

Not terribly exciting, but I love Uma.

The best recent Michael Thompson cover has got to be Feb's Cameron Diaz.

i think i like this cover better than any i've seen of uma's

softgrey: do they have a fashion director? it does seem a little different, now that you've pointed it out

yipee...i was beginning to feel ignored...yes...alex white is the new fashion director...she was an editor before...but now she's styling all the covers as well...the paolo reversi one last month was her first...joe zee did them before...

i think it's a bit less slick and a bit softer and more romantic...i think you can tell that it's styled by a woman...

anyone else have any thoughts...

The cover is typical W and Uma has recently been dominating every magazine (Vogue, InStyle, Elle) so I, too, am not excited.

i dont follow W because it used to bore me, but since they have a new fashion director maybe i should give it a try, thanks for the tip softgrey

as for Uma, yes, i like the cover but i much prefer the b&w editorial picture

i agree-the cover has to be a bit slick to stand out on the news stand, but i'm glad they did something very different inside...

*notice the capelet...reminder...alex white also styled the LV show in paris...
