wow, i totally like this one! Linda Evangelista works it! well, she can do NO WRONG. i love the concept of the cover plus what that piece of box turned into somewhat a cardboard says "It must be somebody's fault". actually, i was expecting to see her on the cover in a Christian Lacroix F/W 09 Haute Couture Virgin Mary inspired outfit (the one that Vlada wore in the finale). 'cause i think a picture of her in the said outfit was posted by someone at the cover rumor thread months ago. and yes, this looks very Vogue Italia. i just wish this was lensed by Meisel.

I think the the outfit she is wearing is totally appropriate. She looks like a corporate VP with a lot of concerns for the country she lives in. The flag above her makes it obvious that this is the United States, which currently is experiencing more than its share of problems with everyone casting blame, left and right. I could go on...this is such a provocative cover and perfect for the times. At least this is my interpetation of what I'm seeing.

^I didn't even notice the flag. For me it was the yellow cab that immediately stood out.

I know for one thing, that I hate the cardboard sign she's holding.
Heh the cardboard sign coupled with the expression on her face make the picture for me. It's almost comical. The shot just seems to have such an intriguing backstory that it makes me wonder what could have led to it. Like a very stylized film still.
Far more eye-catching than a studio shoot with white background imo.

It is so rare to get a cover like this for an American fashion magazine. It's incredibly powerful. Linda looks amazing, I love it.

Very nice cover. I think it's a good choice because it's more inspired than their usual portrait covers, but will still appeal to fashion readers. I'm excited to see the content. I didn't really like their art issue last year. I loved Interview's art issue (Cate Blanchette cover) so I hope this issue is as good.

Wow - For once all the comments gives this cover a thumbs up! Very rare her at TFF.
The colour brings the emotions out for me. The soilder, the businessman and Linda's expression as a consumer play on each other, she holds the sign with that message yet she knows it's hopeless. Sums up the state of our world? No one is responsible for anything?

^ I sort of agree. I'm not fond of Linda at all. I liked the idea of the cover a lot, and appreciate how different it is from usual cover shots, but I have a feeling I'd love it more if someone else was stood there holding the cardboard sign.
