Which is such a shame, because aside from its society coverage, W is known for being the edgiest of the women's glossies, producing each month photography you wouldn't see in Vogue or Bazaar. This issue is ridiculously oversized. My postman couldn't fit it in my mailbox because it was too tall. It could have been better for a 40th anniversary. Unless you must absolutely have this I would suggest you save your money for something else.

^W is the only magazine I buy because I collect it so passionately and because no matter what I always find something I like every month, which is ironic since this issue is supposed to be special but leaves me completely cold. Even Vogue Paris' anniversary supplement with their iconic photographs was better than this. Anyway, enough with my nagging, next issue S/S 2013!

i find the way they presented the covers to be so odd...
I understand they wanted to sell that huge spread to Chanel, but I didn't even realize that the fourth cover image was in there until i read t-rex's post

Has anyone else in the UK got this yet? Something's gone very wrong with the print run and pages 64 to 86 actually repeat. I thought I was loosing my mind, but no, the same twenty-two pages repeat, including the advertisements.
