Sept Mags I've bought:

US Vogue (in decline...crappy eds, but good pics of Maria Dvirnik)
Teen Vogue (quite cool actually...a curiosity...have to admit I'm obssessed...although some silly eds this month...with a grizzly bear...hello? that's dangerous)
Lucky (theyre actually starting to use well known mods, stepping away from wasted 30 something anorexic they were going for...a look that mimics the look of some of their editors...have photographed maria gregersen (awesome) and jannelle Fischman (awful) recently)
Elle (pretty good eds this month...better than vogue's, I'm afraid. Best one is with Marie louise and Ajuma, also good ones with maja latinovic, and adriana Lima)
Marie Claire (positively dreamy ed with Jennifer Vandersteen)
Glamour ---crap

The Sept. Flair is devoted to the baby aliens--Lisa Cant, Heather Marks, Caroline Trentini, and many represent.

I skipped it.

I'm quite disappointed with the Sept. issue of US Vogue, Bazaar, and W. Other than very, very bad covers, their editorials and model casting were uniformally lackluster. I can't believe there isn't a Elise Crombez, Eugenia Volodina, Julia Stegner, or Diana Dondoe in sight. The best from each issue is somewhat flawed:

US Vogue - Daria Werbowy/Steven Klein. Daria doesn't do the 'vacant' look very well but this is tops compared the other edits.

Bazaar - Doutzen/Mario Sorrentti. Sorrentti is a master and perhaps the best thing that Bazaar has going for it now that Inez & Vindoo have defected. But Doutzen isn't captivating.

W - Tasha Tilberg/Craig McDean. Gothic and moody, but didn't quite grab my attention like McDean's previous eds in W, i.e. "Madame Butterfly" w/ Gemma Ward and Kim Noorda, or a late spring ed with Genivere [sp]. However, I do think W has the best selection of ads.

My favorite Sept editorial is the Anouck Lepere one in Vital. In fact, Vital would be the only US magazine that I'd purchase in Sept if I didn't already have subscriptions and if collection of advertisements wouldn't be a concern.

Also, Polina K has an edit in Interview (Rachel Weisz cvr). Keira Knightley and Rachel Bilson and even Sharon Stone are all in InStyle (Jennifer Garner cvr).
