Elle: The infamous Britney Spears cover isn't that bad, but the content is. Saving grace: a 6-pg spread with Zhang Ziyi.

Glamour: Jennifer Lopez continues her 'reformed diva' publicity tour, from a dual Elle cover on both sides of the Atlantic (US & UK) to this month's Glamour. On the cvr, she wears the yellow-stripped Oscar de la Renta gown from the resort collection which Jessica Simpson wore to one of the MTV awards.

Lucky: The magazine's first ever singer/actress cover girl Mandy Moore returns to promote her label of t-shirts, Mblem [sp]. Lucky's had a relationship with celebrity designers (Gwen Stefani, Milla Jovovich), but Mandy's affordable tees are the only thing that I'd consider buying. The 'bag guide' for fall is pretty awesome.

Teen Vogue: Orlando Bloom on cover. The content is nothing to write home about, just some standard runway-to-reality edits.

Vanity Fair: I haven't read the interview yet, but here are some bolded quotes. Nicky Hilton: "Yeah, we're born with a famous last name, but look how we have taken it to another level." Paris Hilton: "He [her fiance Paris] is amazing. I thought I was going to end up with some jackass."

For the first round of October, I'd pick up Lucky and Marie Claire.

I checked my account status on Vogue website, and it says the last issue I received was Sept 05 and they recently sent out the Oct 05 issue.
