i don't like these. I like Jennifer but she seems stiff and awkward here.

but i don't know if it would be any better w/ a model.

It would have preferred it with a model (don't get me wrong, I really like the ads as they are, but I would have liked it more if it were a model) ...I mean, I love Jennifer, and I love that she wears Balenciaga a lot, she looks great in it...but I think these clothes NEED a model, you just have to have legs to pull this look off...and Jennifer's legs look kind of short in the ad.

Plus, if you're going to make Jennifer look exactly like Carolina Pantoliano, you might as well have used Carolina Pantoliano!

a model would have carried the garment better. it seems so out of character for Jennifer Connelly to be wearing it.

I like the ads, one of the better ads including actors!

I definitely agree with you! and I love the blue.

I love Jennifer Connelly but I am very underwhelmed here. I think the most disappointing campaign of the season. I blame David Sims and Fabien Baron(if he's still involved)...Balenciaga should go back to M/M and I&V. Thanks for posting though.

The lighting is a little Prada F/W 07/08. I think they're okay, overall.

I totally forgot to mention that. The blue contrasts so beautifully with the orange pattern of the dress. I like how the shell-looking part is also highlighted!

i suppose we're gonna get used to these and, with all this magazine fever starting a new season it will surely be a relief to stop one's eyes on such simple images. sometimes the more doesn't mean the better.
anyway, it's balenciaga. they never do mainstream.

of course i'd prefer a model..but i do think she looks soo beautiful in these.. she looks really similar to carolina p. in my opinion, who i think is incredibly beautiful.
edit: just found out someone has already pointed that out. hah

Hmmm...I am disappointed with this. I would've rather had those Kori and Egle rumors to have been true
