VISIONS OF PINK: Bottega Veneta continues to strengthen its ties with the art world, teaming with American photographer Ryan McGinley for its resort 2015 men’s and women’s advertising campaign. The delicate pink blossoms of cherries in New York’s Botanical Garden served as a romantic background for some of the images he shot for the company. “His images have not only energy and movement, but often a slightly surreal, dreamlike quality that I thought would be an intriguing match with this collection,” said Bottega Veneta creative director Tomas Maier. The ads will make their debut in the November issues of international magazines. Also in November, the company will release a behind-the-scenes video of the shoot, which will be available at bottegaveneta.com.

I love it, probably I'm a sucker for cherry blossoms. Not sure if Tilda was the right choice, but the image is ok.

I love the backdrop, but it doesn't go with what's going on with and on the model. Tilda doesn't stand out at all.

Could have been something with a different model. Tilda just doesn't do it for me here.

i adore ryan but this is bad. i can't help but think of some fabric softener or laundry detergent adverts with the flower overload. perhaps a fragrance, different brand?

the idea of changing photographers every seasons sounds lovely, but the question is, what it means to the integrity of the brand's image.
