I don't like it. Sean looks bored and he's staring at the handbag like he wants to steal it.

i love this. bottega playing up the recession chic. the houses that understand that the luxury experience isn't one about high-voltage glamour in these times, but someting more personal and understated will weather this storm. yes, her ensemble may cost a few thousand, but she wears it with the ease of something that costs nothing at all. that's luxury.

^ Definately, and Bottega Veneta, famed for their leatherwork, are one of the only brands with a campaign that doesn't have the model holding at least one large handbag.

Wonderful!
Reminds me of the beginning of Mr and Mrs Smith.

they look like some secret agents scheming in a seedy motel in eastern europe or algeria...which is interesting but kind of takes the focus off the clothes

I definitely agree with that sentiment..it's subtle luxury. they aren't specifically selling a dress or bag, but they sell the brand and its feeling. In the end that's what the perfect ad should do.

Sorry, but for me there is nothing interesting about this. The scene is lovely, but this is a dreadfully uninteresting image. More work should have gone to the actual concept/mood they were trying to evoke, i think; it's like everything is plopped right into the frame with no aforethought...not to mention, the models look like bad actors. Who could take a bad photo of Sean O'Pry?

Amazing. I like how it tells a story like their previous campaigns. Something fw09 didn't.
Thanks for posting!

Great ad.
I love it when ads look like a moment out of life and tell a story.

I really don't like this ad. Infact, when I was first going through the magazine it was in, I didn't even notice it, I just carried on going. It wasn't untill I came to scan in another ad I realised that this was actually the new Bottega ad. I really don't like how Anya's face is fuzzy and out of focus. The Sean part, and the whole setting of the ad is nice however.
