I know many of us loved Maryna's ad. I especially did after having grown tired of seeing glamorous sexified women as the main criteria of other perfume ads. This had a different sort of charm.

Yet, I'm coming around to seeing Natalie as the new face, albeit more mature. Considering Coppola is directing again, seems like she'll be in good hands.

The real loser in this discussion is Lily since no one remembers she was Miss Dior Cherie. her ads weren't bad either. Apparently, this is the only decent Dior campaign in recent years.

Even though Natalie is older, Natalie actually has a girlier TODAY than Maryna has TODAY. Maryna looks like more of a Dior Addict girl these days (which incidentally she has shilled before).

I think it looks great! Natalie Portman manages to still look very fresh at her "old" age.

Even though I liked Maryna's ad, for me, nobody replaces Lily Donaldson :p
Well, I'll wait to see the new ads with Natalie Portman

as for me, Maryna was perfect. that ad would never change and it never really get me bored. it's just... wow.
however this one with Natalie (who is one of my fav actress actually) is just another variation of, its a different version. still when I think "Miss Dior Cherie" - I think of cheerful blonde girl with baloons above paris Portman is a little out here imo, but indeed she looks good, the true is you never go wrong with Natalie!

I'm a huge fan of hers. But I want Maryna back, and nothing else.
Her campaign was one of the best fragrance commercial from all time. So it will be hard to top.

I Love Natalie but she is so hyped right now
the news buzz as best actress , vogue cover and now dior they are pushing Nat too much

its too obvious they are pushing her for the Oscars Best Actress
I liked the old Nat and I missed it.

Hmmm agree with the other sentiments about this being incomparable to Maryna's. Natalie's does take a turn from the spirit of Miss Dior Cherie. I don't think she was the right choice, but with the release of Black Swan, it was pretty obvious that she was going to everywhere. I'll miss seeing Maryna's ads and commercial though, those were really wonderful.

I'm agreed with you, this looks very intesting, very simple and cute. And I was very worried to hear about her, I'm not care of her at all. I guess main reason is, that I didn't find Miss Dior Cherie ever that girly or fresh like those previous ads try to sell me, notes are amazing but it smells kind of heavy on my skin.

Things are only impossible until they’re not.

Besides, take away her headband and put a softer lightning on it, and this would have been a dead ringer from Daria's campaign for Lancome Hypnose Senses.

The ad would probably look better if they had used the top two thirds of Nat's body. The placement of her hands just look awkward but the face is just perfect.
