I know everyone has their own opinion, but excuse me...people who says that Raf's Dior is real Dior...Minimalism and THIS? Really?
I agree, I always picture the 50's wasp waist, full skirt, layers and layers of fabric when I think of Dior and John did exactly that but I also have to agree with others that while they were beautiful to look at, in these times of downplaying and minimalism, they would not sell. It all comes down to money and business
I like the idea, the concept, but the execution is not good. And the casting....is sub par to say the least...most of these girls are great on the runway and have little camera presence. I dare say the people who made the campaign are the type of people who think models aren't important at all...This campaign is a lesson for anyone who has that mistaken view.
That said, I think they are on to something here. It's a shame it didn't come out looking better.
Well Raf has certainly made a statement in Vogue UK - a full-on National Geographic pull-out both sides of four pages from the cover of the new minimal Dior.
