This is a campaign that would have been so much better with different models. I feel like Coco is the only one who really gets the theme of the shoot. She is absolutely on fire in these. Who knew that little Coco Rocha had an inner dominatrix?

Vlada seems completely and utterly lost. Gorgeous but lost. A little thought put into casting would have gone a long way with this. Perhaps some girls who look a bit worldly or have something of a naughty streak. Lara Stone would have been perfect or Shannon Click, granted they've used her already but D&G LOVE Click.

The colors are amazing and the photography is beautiful but I can't hlep but feel this would be better with models who actually knew how to convey the emotions behind the concepts.

Horrendous casting of models, fundamentally, is what makes this campaign rather futile. Vlada, Coco, Georgia? not cohesive at all.
A better cast would have been: Sasha, Iselin, Coco, and Gemma.

I would have preferred Lara, Suvi, Sasha & Adina- that would have been an A+ cast for this campaign.

i think coco is the true standout of the campaign. i think the casting is quite good, however i think the concept is beyond stale. i miss miesel for dolce.

I'm actually surprised Lara isn't in these advertisements. I have a feeling she'd fit in perfectly.

I just wish Georgia had more of a role in this season's ads. I thought she nailed last season's.

Yeah Lara Stone would have been PERFECT for these ads!

ps. Georgia is only in ONE ad! She must be in all the sunglasses ads then...

They seriously need to release Campaign Photoshoots: Behind the Scenes DVD for these. And I want the undrated version too.

lol

I definitly agree about Lara being overlooked for this campaign. She's just got that agressive vibe that works so well right now. Another model that's coming to mind is Magdalena...though I don't know why. Something about her expression has that "come hither" look, and that's what these ads say as well. Or Maryna Linchuk, perhaps.

I don't know though, somehow the cast is working for me. You look at Coco who's so working the femme dom thing next to Vlada who comes off almost angelic in this perverse situation....something about it reads as creepy and almost sinister, to me anyway.
