I can't tell what's more boring from Dolce & Gabbana these days, their collections or their campaigns.

like the past couple of seasons, it looks more like an ad to come visit italy or something you would see in a travel guide.

no edge, no creativity, nothing about this screams fashion to me.

I know Im in the minority but I love this campaign. I think they are the perfect Dolce models and I love the mood and the collection itself.

This is beyond ridiculous. Awful. Repetitive.

Bring back Meisel, please.

^ I agree. I hate Meisel for the simple fact that he uses nameless robotic models who all look alike in almost every campaign he shoots, but his ads for Dolce were some of the best they ever had. The Dolce ads these past few seasons are ridiculously corny.

Come on guys they are running out of money and need to do economic wise choices...the whole sicialin theme may be overexposed and overused but it SELLS and that is what really matters for a commercial brand (leave the edgy choices to Givenchy or Mcqueen)

The collection was tragic and although, once again these are nice images, they are just becoming insanely boring.
How can anyone now look forward to the next Dolce campaign knowing they are probably gonna look more or less the same as these pics?

yes that's true, and i do feel bad for their current financial situation, but wouldn't it be cheaper to shoot the campaign in a studio? location shoots are very pricey, even if it looks like they shot it in their backyard or down the street. although i must say that it was smart of them to not use so many models. i mean, the rates of having a karlie, or an isabeli, or a naomi, or even a noah front your campaign must be financially draining.

i think given the circumstances they are under, a mix of commercial appeal and high fashion edge couldn't hurt them (a creative studio shot could have done both ). who knows, consumers might not find this sort of ad repetition appealing (just look at the responses in this thread).

i feel like i've been complaining about this for the past 6 seasons.

as an italian the way they try to portrait 'italy' in their ads is stale, reactionary and offensive. almost everyone here feels this way. italy is NOT that. it drives me insane, they need to stop. instead of working against the awful stereotypes around italians that people all over the world have they're glorifying and selling them. it enrages me.
