Seriously!? If you were to take last season's campaign pics and muddle them in with this lot you'd barely be able to tell one campaign from the other. Don't they have professionals working with them to deliver innovative concepts?
To be honest, the only thing that I can think of, is that they must have become self-satisfied with their level of success and profit margin, and as a result see no reason to push the envelope or explore new ideas, which is of course incredibly tragic because one feels they could be exploring so much more without taking away from their signature. The brand needs some serious rejuvenation.

the campaign is lovely but it kind of sucks that it's similar to last season's. the collection is very nice too.

Yep, and I think they really need to change something about this to get out of this bad financial situation. But who is really surprised? The clothes do look absolutely the same every season (who would buy something he already has?), the campaigns look like an extended tourism commercial for Italy and it is hence not really target-group-specific (since they sell abroad, too) and let's not forget how they killed their image with the general cheapness of D&G....

I hate the repetition that has plagued Dolce & Gabbana lately. This isn't the first time they've done this. They tried this concept once or twice in the late 90s with Gisele, although those campaigns were executed beautifully.

Frankly, D&G is becoming increasingly vapid season after season and these never-ending Sicilian campaigns are not helping. They need a major brand overhaul and fast.
