I'm perplexed at the complete 180 this brand did. All we can do now is reminisce.

If it ain't broke- don't fix it.

I think people are missing the point. In a time of economic crisis Dolce & Gabbana are doing **great** they are literally printing money at this point. Maybe these campaigns sail over the heads of the fashionistos but the buyers love it and the customers love it.

Say what you want of Domenico shooting, I think he is spot on about the positioning of his brand. They are a powerhouse and are doing crazy well, and I'm sure this campaign will lead to blockbuster sales for them.

As for repetition- if it ain't broke, don't fix it. The formula works, and if/when people get honestly tired of it- they'll change.

it's better to change before people getting tired of it rather than after. it's better to take a pro-active change than a re-active change.

True, but we fashionspot people are good indications of the trend of things, so I suspect they will see us complaining and get a hint for seasons to come. This season it seems like a business gamble to keep going in the same direction, and it's probably a gamble that will pay off.

Also, it's the first time Domenico shoots the campaign, I suspect they wanted to make changes gradually.

by the way, for this concept, Testino would be a good option.

I'm getting sick of Bianca Balti for Dolce & Gabbana, she is a great model but enough is enough.

And there should be some sort of international law stating that designers are not allowed to photograph the campaigns of their own collections, lol.
