I'm not liking her facial expressions. She seems tense and forced. Also, the photography looks amateur and contrived. Karl, please just stop.

I just cant..
it seems that some people just queef the panty pudding on every random pic Joan is in. Sorry guys but this is very amateurish on an almost grotesk level. Just put a pretty girl holding a bag in some random field, a reflection board for some fill, glue a logo on top and BAM there's the campaign. I dont think so. Karl I love you for being the intellectual hermit that you are but this, no, just no.

joan doesn't do a great job in this campaign. she is trying to sell the bag but there seems to be no connection between the two. she is so focused on herself that she forgets to sell the bag.

I am sorry but I just do not get your comment...Fendi biggest profit comes from bags (especially baguette) and fur...they are of course showing things that could attract biggest number of customers...it is like for every Louis Vuitton ad campaign being full of bags or last Chanel campaign with Alice Dellal carrying like 5 boy chanel bags in one picture

^ they obviously have to show their bags to sell them but also there are much more natural, elegant, subtle, creative, etc ways to do it.. even the examples that you mention aren't as blatant imo, LV shows the bags inside the context of a train journey and Chanel does it in a way that some might find fun and quirky while Fendi is so focused in literally showing the bags to the point of making Joan's poses look contrived and uncomfortable.

I completely understand your point, there is no art going into displaying these accessories, she is quite blatantly holding the bag out for all consumers to oggle. As forced as the entire idea of a campaign may be, if you're going to be this blatant just give the bag it's own page without pretending a woman would naturally hold the bag in such ways.
In my opinion, if the accessories are more important than the ready-to-wear in terms of sales (which they pretty much definitely are) then at least convey them as thoughtfully as the clothing.
Nothing annoyed me more than the filming of Vuitton's spring 2012 show where you saw a distant shot of the incredibly embellished dresses and then a close up on the shoes and bags.
Accessories are wonderful, but I'm interested in fashion because of the clothes.
