This is more silly than interesting. Also, sandals and suits are DISGUSTING. No one, and I mean NO ONE, will ever make that look good. Not even Tisci.
Maybe if the setting had been a forest (like Lanvin Fall 08) or a cemetery or something, then it would have been a lot better I think.
But this image is definitely attractive, it makes me wanna buy Givenchy stuff.
It's almost a bit of a mindf*ck, trying to figure out why there are hot guys in suits and a hot woman in high heels at the beach (with a scary dog, ugh), surfboards ready in the pick up truck but no other surf equipment...
They're the Miami mafia! they shoot people and their dog eats them!.
Seriously, it's something along these lines for me, they look like they could be good protectors, or just people you'd rather be friends with.
I love this, always happy to see a Gisele overload in my summer issues.
I was hoping they'd go the more upbeat/summery route. Nonetheless, this is pretty bada**. Gisele, just posing there nonchalantly while looking pretty fierce.
Personally I love the image itself and can't wait to see the rest of the campaign.
Couldn't agree more. Eventhough the concept isn't exactly easy to grasp and doesn't quite make sense I love the image itself and I desire the clothes and accessories shown which is the point of the thing. I personally like to think that she is an evil mermaid with her scary dog friend-protector trying to lure two seamen to come with her .
didn't think they'd go this, literally.
and what concept? a girl, 2 guys, dog, surfboards, truck (which seriously overpowers the ad) at the beach.. it's so cliche and expected that i'm more surprised they went this route (a good or bad thing? iono). i hope the other images aren't using the same props (though they probably are).
and i agree. giselle doesn't work with givenchy for me.. and with her doing versace, two big brands.. i wouldn't have taken her at the same time.

I'm also baffled by this campaign I mean, I get what the collection was about, I liked it, and I also liked the concept of it. I think when they were deciding on the campaign though it somehow got mixed up with other ideas. The truck just looks too urban, and not that the clothes don't look expensive I just wish the whole thing looked a little dirty and gritty I think it would contrast better. With that nice looking of a truck it just ends up looking like a car ad
