The concept is pretty boring but its okay. The thing I dont like is the choice of models. Lara Stone is a sexpot model whereas the aesthetic of Jil Sander is like minimalistic anti-sexual. I dont know - its just both models are too sexy to pull off Jil Sander and the campaign imo. They are too contrasting with the sombre mood.

 I dislike the main photos - the studio shots. They're pretty bad. I like the outdoor ones but, whats with the location? Abandoned rooftop in Manhattan. WHY? They should have shot this somewhere else for sure. The creative director here did not do a good job imo  |

Personally I like Lara's shots better than Natasha's, but on the whole it is quite drab and desolate. Although what can you expect from Jil Sander ads.

i love it, well only lara's shots. i dont just feel that way because lara is my favorite model. natasha literaly looks like a christian children's fund kid being interrigated. while lara looks like a fierce alien that landed on a roof. overall, i love the look of the studio shot with the outdoor shot next to it, has anyone done that before?
in the first two shots with lara, is she wearing the same piece? and shouldn't she have another studio shot coming out? |
