I salute you for standing in the street and taking these shots for all of us to look at. Ms Casta and Miu Miu are not the most obvious combination, but it seems that the ads aren't too bad, and we have you to thank for this advance view.

Laetitia knows how to model. These ads are sexy and totally make me want to buy the clothes even though I hated that collection. Which, really, is the point of ads

First of all, thanks to alix* of course for taking the time to snap those shots!

To tigerrouge, that was my first thought upon even hearding the casting choice for this campaign. However, when you read some of the interviews that Miuccia has done about her inspiration, it seems appropriate. She said something about how articifical and plastic everyone was becoming in the world, and how corrective everything was. Apparently she wanted to exaggerate the clothes and the plasticity of their appearence, to warp the traditional school-girl type clothes, its a more sugar-coated, botox, breast implant sort of image. If that makes sense. For me, Laetitia works because she's such a pin-up sort of model, but I agree that at first I was a little taken a back by the unusual casting choice.
