mike, to try to make it short (and some people know it's not easy with me) ....
i agree that both WINTER 2010 menswear and womenswear share a certain aesthetics, but to me menswear is much more urban-edgy than womenswear (that is pretty 'primitive'), so i think a seperated campain makes sense. and on another point, i think miuccia is right to do different campains with different vision as men are more and more a unique commercial target. so that wouldn't make sense to me to create a similar campain ... and if Miuccia has decided to do that (while she used to do a shared storyboard for men and women), it means to me that something has changed ... i just try to understand that. so i think i disagree with you on the main subject. great.
we can agree to disagree. while us fashion folk may notice the differences between the mens' and womens' campaigns, i don't think the consumer at large would. also, i feel that the two campaigns she delivered this time lack focus altogether. they're great images, but they don't have a message. that's why i say perhaps the challenge of combining these two collections might force her to settle on an actual message.

Why would it be a false conflict? It might an entirely correct stance for some.

Can we please stay on topic ?
The Prada Menswear campaign isn't the place to discuss the personal issues of Alber Elbaz.

I don't know how to extract the campaign from a flash site, but the entire campaign is on the Prada website. Can someone extract the files?
![]() I have to admit, its not very interesting. Most of the shots are with one model against a black backdop. Last season was much better. |

![]() I still think Slimane could have gone with something a little more interesting, don't you think? |
