Michael Pitt is the leading actor of one of my fav Movies, "The Dreamers". I guess i rather him to stay and cinema, and not modeling ahahaha He definitely doesn't look good.
I HATE that duck face!! I don't understand what's the purpose, he looks really stupid in some shots, i understand that mrs. Prada likes irony and play with the bad taste, but sometimes is to much. the background is nice, but that's all.
I think that PRADA is all about the thing if you really want to play Miuccia's game. Of course, the photographs are empty, the ducky gestures are terrible, but... she reinvented the 50s for the next season and I can see her asking "What's left from the golden era of the USA?". Well, the answer is that nothing, in my humble opinion. And she put that in the campaign as well.
See the womenswear campaign, it's totally unprada, she basically made a parody of herself.
It definitely captures that 50s teen pinup vibe, but without the nostalgia. It's sleeker, slicker and quirky. I love that fine line between high fashion and junk culture that Prada always has finger on.
This is exactly why I love this campaign, and well.. I love Michael Pitt anyway. I was shocked to hear about this and as soon as I saw it I loved it. Do agree that it looks a bit more like an editorial than a campaign but it works for me.
