I'm actually surprised advertising (in fashion) doesn't push the envelope more in terms of offensive or provocative ads. I would think it would be a perfect field to do that, but guess not.

Yeah, I posted a whole bunch of them a couple pages back (page 11). She was barely 15 in the ads and she was dressed very sexy and hanging out with a guy that was obviously a lot older.

We've seen the provocative ads - that's easy. Let's mix it up with an offensive ad. I'm not particularly offended but some may say otherwise.Attachment 292010 Source: WWD Beauty Biz - Ad Scanned by Me

Attachment 292015 Source: Pic 1:ad for a cell phone - loveyourbody.nowfoundation.org Pic 2: From a U.K. Civil Liberties Group commenting on a National ID card. It wasn't banned but a lot of people were offended. I think it's pretty funny. blog.wired.com Pic 3: Candy Shot - Notice the girl is shot in the head! Bleeding green fluid no less - reclaimyourculture.com Pic 4: Simply an old ad for a carpet company as seen in Sunset Magazine. But definitely gets the award for the creepiest looking ad! - retrocrush.com

i love the "provocative" ysl ones
they're all very artistically done
i know that one ^ was inspired by some painting, except the sexes are switched around (one clothed man, 2 naked women). i like the flipped hierarchy, actually!

^ It was inspired by Manet's "The Luncheon on the Grass". The painting was very controversial when it was released, so they were obviously doing a cheeky take on it. I like the ad better than the original actually.

An old ad, but disgusting nonetheless.

No, she's rejecting the cookies because she's using cigarettes to reduce her appetite.
