The AA isn't offensive or provocative at all, it's just a really bad joke.

AA is on a roll.

No, this is not an ad in the back pages of the Village Voice advertising "Asian body work" or "exotic escorts," even though it could soon be on the reverse of the L Magazine, where American Apparel ads usually hang out.

With the launch of AA's new line of bedding—pillowcases or twin/queen/king sheet sets in either gray or white—comes a whole new reason for scantily-clad models. Except you see, since these items aren't clothing, there's really no need to bother with cladding at all. And so we have the typical American Apparel flash-heavy photos of models in compromising positions, seemingly following the rules of callgirl ads.

well these ads are all what AA have going for them really. It is not like their clothes could create huge thrills and desires in a consumer's mind... they are so generic to begin with.

these ads do create some sensation, and name recognition. that is about it really.

As my friend said when we walked past AA today "oh sexy minimal sh*t" and she followed the conversation with "I dont know why its sexy it just is" I think that answers her question.

That AA ad with the briefs...no comment. The Aussiebum one actually made me laugh a little, although I don't need to see you grabbing your junk, merci beaucoup.

if terry richardson and tom ford had their way, i'm sure he'd play with more than his belt....on a serious tip, that ad -- which ran on the back cover of out magazine of the time, methinks -- did grab enough eyeballs to make those jeans bestsellers....

I think this campaign is not against homosexuality but against discrimination (against homosexuality)

The main tag says "sexual orientation is not a choice" as in a person is born with a sexual orientation so people shouldn´t discriminate. It goes on saying something about anti discrimination (I don´t speak italian but it´s similar to spanish). I *think* the Vatican censored this ad because they´d like us to believe homosexuality is a disease and that gays can be cured

Aussiebum doesn't provoke anything, nor offend anyone.

It is just soft-core porn images with homosexual undertones. Big deal!
