isn't it funny how people tend to complain about certain brands (and Valentino is the first runner here) being stagnated and over-cliched within their vision and whole image, but when it comes to the team stepping out of their comfort zone and trying to explore their vision, to make things move forward, everybody starts saying like, 'this is so NOT Valentino' or something like that.
i mean, okay Valentino has been about femininity and glamour, but is it really weird if they want to put ANOTHER KIND of femininity into their spectrum? is it bad for them to want to try something new, to develop the concept that would otherwise (and let's be honest here) feel nothing but repetitive and old-fashioned.
every fashion designer/label/brand has to react to the changes this world is going through. and i think that Iris embodies this sort of fashion-Zeitgeist just perfectly.

^Valentino was never boring. In fact he managed to do both those things: Keep the classic image of beauty and femininty while still approaching fashion from a different angle so it never felt repetitive.

The new designers arent introducing anything new, the collection they did has been done a million times before by other designers....

I love this campaign! It's so dark and mysterious, quite a nice surprise actually cause I hated this season's collection.

I appreciate the bold approach but then I don't think I like it. I feel like i've seen this type of ad from valentino before but with more finesse (I think it was the one with Hilary R.?). These photos are just too unfeminine.. and awkward for a brand like Valentino.

I remember that add.. that add with Hilary, Sasha and someone else... it was crazy, scary, stunning amazing! remember when we tried to recreate that ourselves but ended up looking like clowns. that was the night before our school play, everyone sleptover at my house and we read the newly released sept 07 issue of VOGUE... we never slept and we were sleeping through the entire play good times....:p
