PALAZZO VALENTINO: The ornate Sicilian Palazzo Valguarnera-Gangi in Palermo serves as the background for Valentino’s fall campaign, lensed by Deborah Turbeville. In her second effort with the Italian house, the photographer zoomed in on the red gowns by creative directors Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli, juxtaposed against the plush carpets, dripping chandeliers and imposing, gilded doors of the Palazzo, a jewel of Sicilian Baroque architecture, where director Luchino Visconti chose to film some of the most memorable scenes of his 1963 film “Il Gattopardo.”
“Deborah captures her models emphasizing the values of the Valentino women exquisitely. They’re sophisticated, romantic and dreamy, but with a dark modern edge,” said Chiuri. The campaign will bow in July.

So I guess this is the campaign where Zuzanna was replaced by Jac and Frida. Too bad because she would have rocked this a thousand times more. Very happy for Caroline!
I think the campaign is gorgeous! I really like the darkness of it, it fits the collection as well!
Caroline and Jac are the perfect Valentino girls, I'm happy to see them return for their third time and for Frida to finally have her debut with the brand. Very well deserved.
I love the setting a lot more than last season's as it feels more appropriate in a way. I'm still not sure what the point of it all is though, and it's a little boring as others have mentioned, but it's certainly beautiful albeit somewhat empty. Last season's campaign had the same problem imo.
I guess I'll wait to see it in higher quality and for further shots.
