Maybe because he chose them to be on his last campaign, which is really important, and they would make him that "favor". They should be flattered
And even though you can't see their faces, we know who they are, so can you imagine if some cheap model was there? And topmodels are easier to work with

This looks really disappointing so far. They got some amazing models, so I was expecting something magnificent and maybe even seeing their faces.

I love this. I am on page with Faith and was going to say the same thing, so I am glad I read before I posted, but! Fact is this is showing Valentino. The girls? That's never been it with Valentino. He designs for every woman and by obscuring the faces it's a sort of idea that it could be anyone underneath there, even YOU, and I love that. This is signature Valentino, his last time to show us his clothes, his bags, his shoes, and I'm frankly thrilled it's more concentrated on the clothes than anything else. No girls face could compare to how lovely his last show was. <3

Here I was thinking fashion was about the clothes first and foremost, yet people are complaining about the models.

Reminds me of Prada s/s 01, with all the models faces behind big beach parasols.

This isn't as good though, it's slightly Bourdin-esque but without any of the subversion.

Very weak IMO. The clothes just don't justify the concept, or the setting and composition is all wrong.

I like it (I&V can do no wrong IMO) but that's a waste of the stellar cast... I agree that, being Valentino's last collection, it should be all about him and his clothes, but I can't help but be a bit disappointed we don't get to see the models' face...

The most unexpected ad campaign so far!
Since I was looking forward to see Anja in the campaign. But now I can't figure out who is who.
