at first i was totally mad about YSL using claudia in their ss09 ads but WOW the first pics are GORGEOUS! probably my fave campaign of the season! just stunning, cool, gorgeoous, glamorous, ugh just stunning!

when i saw the first image i thought about something from the late 80s- early 90s helmutnewton-ish ...
i really adore how they went on the total opposite of the sadness of the collection ... and assume it .... the tears print on almost every clothes, remember ?
that is very good ...

i love it ... waiting for more ... will they do a manifesto (?) again with this ?

i love the styling, too ...

^ Really? I get more of a Bourdin feel from the newest one.

Maybe it's the super-bright blue sky combined with the pose and the makeup.

At any rate, I like the second shot a lot better than the first. There's something kind of humorous about it.

totally agree with you, I remember all those 80's and 90's YSL fashion shows with real women now it feels like a joke with all these emaciated teens on the catwalk trying to be cool.

now in recession times the fashion world needs to be revamped, bring the powerful woman again, a mature woman with a real body.
