My favourite manga that I would strongly reccomend to all fashionista who loves Japanese street style: Death Note, Paradise Kiss ( A MUST! ), and NANA.

Other favourites that's not so fashion-related : Angel Sanctuary, Detective Conan, Suzumiya Haruhi, Ouran High Host Club and anything by Clamp.
PS. Ouran High Host Club only suitable for girl hahaha~

^Yeah the Paradise Kiss, NANA, and Clamp comics.. so much fashion

I remember I used to read this series: "boys over flowers" (trans.)

animepaper.net |

It has a lot of 90's fashion in it

especially the boys in the story, who are very wealthy (and good-looking, apparently)

The story centers around a girl who goes to a sort of upper-class high school and she's poor but her parents work hard to get her into that school
and so, she gets teased a lot
and the most popular in the school is a group of boys who are the wealthiest in the country and they sort of end up being friends with her

...it's a romance comedy I suppose
They also made a movie out of it

"A town far away" (遥かな町へ, Haruka na Machi he)
And waiting to read "The walking man?"(歩くひと, Aruku Hito) by Jiro Taniguchi and probably others of this author...
Because of the quality of his stories and his beautifuls drawings.

I used to love manga as a kid... I'm not sure if anyone knows, but there's a manga with a baby brother (5 - 7, maybe) with an older brother and a dad. Their mother died a while ago and the family struggles to bring up the younger brother. It was so heartbreaking. I saw it about... 7 or 8 years ago and I loved it.

I don't know the title though, so if anyone were to find the name of the show - I would be eternally grateful. Karma in advaaaaaance!

Right now I'm watching Bamboo Blade. It's quite funny! I've not read the manga though, although I want to and probably will soon.

Tama-chan is so cute!
