Chanel Iman for Bottega Veneta SS07

scanned by verna_gold

It looks like Morocco. Notice the gathering of the dress echoed in the staircase and walls.
Cecelia Mendez in the same campaign

scanned by LucyInTheSky

notice the shape of the windows and the cut out tear drop shapes of the dress.

Great thread! Does anyone know what building the Chanel ads were at/in/on?

hi ..
Just would like to remind everyone before posting,
make sure to provide full credits to pictures or else they will be deleted.
It's not enough to write 'scanned by so-and-so'...
you must add the Magazine Title as well as the date / issue #

Now this is a thread I can delight in, no end! But I'll have to cite online magazines because I don't subscribe to any paper mags.

Great idea for a new discussion, sethii!

This shoot is for women in business. It may well be a back drop or done by photoshop, but I like that it's impossible to tell where all these windows are, which city.

it would be nice if the actual names of buildings were listed.
isn't that the purpose of this thread?

^^^^ sorry I didn't put full credits for the chanel and bottega pics, but most (if not all ) were posted without saying where they are from. In future I'll only post scans that have a magazine source mentioned

^ yes it's great and informative if we know what buildings they are, but the thread is about seeing beautiful architecture in editorials and ads. I don't think we have to know the name of the building to enjoy the art, but if people do know that's a good bonus

do you mean that these were posted at TFS?
it's policy that they are fully credited
If they are from magazine threads, the credits can be in the title of the thread. For example, "july 2007 us vogue". So, if pictures are taken from threads at TFS, all you need to add are the title, magazine date/issue from the original thread

Usually ruined buildings are used for dark/gothic/urban decay themes - so surprising to have such a fun and cute editorial set in a ruined building!

not much info on these but they are quite unique to me (there might be more pics but I only have these 3)

Ph: unknown
magazine: unknown (probably vogue korea or another south korean mag from 2006)
model: Han Hye Jin (Marilyn/WhyNot/ESteem)

The decaying bricks really bring out the texture of the clothes
