of course
if you know the architect etc, it would of be nice to make a special thread but since i have a lot of inspiring pictures without specific information i thought a general thread would be good...
This isn't a "real" flat but ... I love Hercule Poirot's Art deco flat in the Hercule Poirot's series. It's called Florin Court and is located at Charterhouse Square in London and I plan to see it one day .
Here's a drawing of what "Whitehaven Mansions" (the name of the flat in the books) should've looked like according to Agatha Christie's informations.(from http://www.chez.com/herculepoirot/)
Art deco houses and flats were mostly owned by the rich or members of the middle classes, although there was some municipal rented housing built in the style. This section looks at examples of both middle- and upper-class properties. Florin Court, designed by Guy Morgan and Partners and opened in 1936, is an impressive deco apartment block, and the fictional home of the TV detective Hercules Poirot. It has an undulating exterior and a roof garden, and in the 1980s a retro deco basement swimming pool was built. Unfortunately, the deco foyer was tiled over in the 1980s.

it is beautifully done.....their use of space is incredible.....

it is far more incredible in person, the pictures do it no justice, but i wanted to share anyway.....
the little details are the best...

Occasionaly I browse the real estate sites locally to see whats for sale around the city, and this one really caught my eye! The setting is the main part of it, the openness, out into the world. On top of the world!
