I wouldn't be surprised to learn it's not normally in that spot, they just did it for staging the photograph.

Yes, it's not necessarily my style but I like how the colours and luminosity give a sense of well-being. Nothing is offensive and it's quite tasteful and comfortable looking. Love the shoes!

On the other hand, I don't understand these Hollywood homes. Very few are tasteful and comfortable looking, and many look un-lived-in and feature horrifying and irrelevant details like Charlize's clock and oftentimes, tasteless "art"work...

Nina Garcia's apartment in Manhattan is wonderful, as is Charlize Theron's Los Angeles loft. I much prefer Charlize's decorating, though. It's more masculine and I could just move right into the space. I love those colours and I admire how almost nothing matches in a large percentage of this thread. When it comes to decorating for me, I'm such a maniac for wanting colours and fabrics to match everything else. This thread is a source of inspiration.

I am in love with Stefano's duplex...my dream house in flesh. It looks full of soul and cosiness as opposed to money and professional design.

Woody Allen's New York townhouse:

I kinda like it. It looks cozy and has a nice country-in-the-city feel.

The last picture looks like a hotel room.
But the child's room is wow.

So nice and cozy. And such a great mix of colors!

Duffy's little girl is too adorable! She can look forward to a great wardrobe...
And finally someone with good art on the walls!

Woody Allen's home is lovely, but then there's that awful pop-art on the walls again...

well it is a guest room, so it's not an inappropriate look, imo.
