When it comes to decorating for me, I'm such a maniac for wanting colours and fabrics to match everything else. This thread is a source of inspiration.
I like both places as well. I'm a female, but as you pointed out, I like the "masculine" feel of Charlize's loft. I wouldn't necessarily decorate it in the same way she has, but I like the use of neutrals throughout. And it's simply done, if that makes sense. I wouldn't want to live in a place that feels overly decorated as if I'm living in a museum.

Normally I'd go for the minimalist look in the manner of Will Farrell's NY loft, but it looks too much like an office. Not very a homey vibe.

Charlize Theron sells former LA house she bought in 2009 for ~ 3M$
Around 4,000 ft, 3 bedrooms and 3 bathroom.
I am on the fence, I really dislike the kitchen and the living room..

This is such an inspirational thread. However, out of the so many houses, the ones I really liked were ysl's, Valentino's, DvF's. most suitable for living were probably Stefano Pilati's, and hernadez and mccollough's, these men have good taste for interior styling...not surprisingly, the celebrities' usually borders on tacky to bleh, Rihanna's was quite bad taste I thought. Thanks all for posting.

So many gorgeous houses in this thread! And I have to agree with vetements. Sometimes celebrities' decorating tastes leave a lot to be desired in that their houses' interiors border on tacky and gauche.

Ahh, finally a lovely, livable, realistic, creative home that looks personal and inspired and comfortable and cheerful and laid back.

I'm oddly fascinated by Rick Owens' home. I could never live like that and with that shower I would be scared of getting mold in all my walls but I do admire how consistent he is with his aesthetic, it's interesting. I do like the book shelves but I don't think I would want any other objects from that loft. But at least it's essentially him and not just some generic 'straight out of the catalog' home like all those other celebrity apartments.

...design-wise it's all "very well done", but odour of pretentiousness and control-freakishness way too pungent...

I think the worst part is the bathroom. Now, I don't want to sound mean but that looks like one of Hitler's gas chambers.
