Penelope Cruz puts her Hollywood home on Sunset Strip up for sale for £2.5million
Penelope Cruz has put her stunning Hollywood home on the market for a mere snip at £2.5million.
The actress is selling the open-plan, single-storey house that overlooks the city's famous Sunset Strip that she has owned since 2005.
But after leasing it out in 2008, Cruz, 36, who also owns properties in Los Angeles and her native Madrid in Spain, has decided to sell up.
The Spanish star is asking for $3,695,000 (£2, 442,000) for the property which has beautiful views of the Hollywood Hills.
It boasts three bedrooms and bathrooms and an outdoor swimming pool complete with a sparse terrace decorated with beautiful white loungers and a dining table.
And for that extra bit of comfort to relax by the pool, the terrace also has a canopy bed for those lazy summer nights.
Visitors to the house are greeted by big, heavy wooden doors which give residents that extra bit of privacy.
Guests then step through the doors into a tiled courtyard that leads up to two large glass doors which open into the main house.
There is also another courtyard at the back which features a small fountain and chairs to cool off away from the hot California sun
The large modern kitchen is ideal for any homebody with lots of workspace, a huge double refrigerator, two ovens and a breakfast and preparation island.
There is what the Americans call a den, with a sofa and flat screen TV on the wall - although the new owner may look to replace the out-of-date wooden furniture.
What the house does boast is lots of light all the through with big white walls and windows shining the all-year-round sunshine.

...That big booty Beyoncé Knowles and her music mogul huzband Jay-Z are snatching up a contemporary country crib in the unlikely town of New Ringold, PA, a bucolic community two hours west of New York City better known for its sagging mining economy than its celebrity residents.

Today we're going back to Montecito to discuss a a property brought to our attention over the weekend by Willie Wantstoknow, a very contemporary and recently completed glass pavilion on the market with a sphincter clenching asking price of $35,000,000.
Your Mama knew not a thing about the house so, naturally, we took the the internets and did a wee bit of research. It took Your Mama all of about 42 seconds to figure out that the Ashley Road residence was designed, built and currently owned by well known designer/builder/high end house flipper Steve Hermann.
It's not quite clear exactly what Mister Hermann paid for the property in Montecito but between public property records and an older listing Your Mama squirreled out of the interweb we figured out that the 3.49 acre parcel was either listed or sold for $3,450,000. At the time Mister Hermann bought the Oak grove ringed property with babbling brook there was not an existing house.
I love the houses in post #65, especially Stephen Dorff's! But at that bed in Jane Fonda's loft, that thing is repulsive, who would want to sleep in that?
