I like looking at celebrity houses...I think its interesting to see how they live.
However, if I had that kind of money - I know I could create places that are so much nicer than some of these! Some look ordinary (out of suburbia), some are too over-decorated, some are just plain ugly...however there are things I can pick of out each of them that I like.

I really don't understand the celebs that show off their houses like this...isn't it their only private place?
I think perhaps showing off photos of their houses isn't so much an invasion of privacy...it is different to having pappazzi follow you everywhere. However, wouldn't it make much more sense to simply take the photos themselves and give a selection to a particular magazine rather than allowing them into your home?

I love this thread....my mother is an interior desiger, and so i've always taken interest in home decorating!

I tend to dislike modern decorating, lack of color, and conceptual designing for homes....some of these celebrities homes look as if no one could actually snuggle up there at night! Thats just my little opinion!

Some of these houses are really amazing. I think its important to have an inspiring interior whether ou live in a multi-million dollar mansion or a studio apartment.

Me too! Living in Minnesota has made me DREAM of an outdoor living room (like i've seen in California or Mexico) with a big kitchen/bar area by it. I would love that

i think paris latsis' house is hideous!! not really suprising though when you look at his taste in clothes (not to mention his taste in women) haha!

oh yeah i watched that episode which featured richard branson's private island! so freaking gorgeous!

some of the houses posted were beautiful but some are just too tacky, over the top and lack personality. everybody can have 'beautiful' houses, with huge closets, swimming pools, plasma tv, expensive cars in garage etc but not everyone has STYLE to transform the house into a HOME.

that said, please post more pictures!
