Ooh thanks for bumping this thread. I love it! I'm obsessed with polaroid pics but none of mine look half as good as the ones posted here.

this question has probably been asked before but...

where can i purchase a polaroid camera?

please keep in mind, i'm on a tight budget being a broke college student. also, i would consider myself a beginner so something simple i guess.

thanks!

Enjoy this site guys:

http://www.polanoid.net/

and maganda_x3:

You can snag a Polaroid right off their website at www.polaroid.com They start around $30. Get film at Costco, I saw 600 series, 50 shots for $44!

I absolutely love this thread, it's my new favorite. I just purchased my first polaroid camera after longing for one for a few years. My parents didn't get it, they're very into digital. Beyond the fact that it's instant, I find that polaroids just look softer and dreamier in general. I don't know, to me, they feel more personal. I was going through my mother's photos from her childhood and from her teenage years in the 70s (beyond jealous), and I just don't see those personal touches in digital. I also can't wait to get that Maripolarama book, I heard about it in Nylon.

Has anyone bought a sx70 camera from ebay? I am not sure if I can trust some of the prices, especially someone selling an sx70 camera for 25.00! There are so many options

Well, the SX-70's are cheap now because they stopped making film for them. Specically the Time Zero and the SX-70 film. The bright side is regular 600 and 779 film can be used, with a little patience and know how:

Most people don't know about these little tricks, so now they're being let go for dirt cheap. Good luck on finding one!
